Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the Truck Driver operates:
- Heavy Combination Trucks
- Vehicle Loading Cranes
- Delivery and collection of materials from both the organisations and contractor sites
You will also assist, as needed, as part of the team providing the inspection, quality control, receipt, warehousing, issuing and distribution of materials to the organisation’s internal and external customers from the organisation’s Central Warehouse or non-centralised sites.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a team player who has a strong attention to detail, customer focus and is a problem solver!
To be successful in the position you will have:
- School Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in the Warehouse & Distribution environment
- Hold a Class HC driver’s Licence and have knowledge of maximum axle and gross weights for vehicles
- Hold a National Certificate of Competency to operate Forklifts, Dogmen Ticket, White Card
- C2 Crane Ticket
- Competency in Load Restraint Guidelines
- Knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Transportation Regulations
- As needed, oversee non centralised permanent site operations including developing stock plans & ordering of materials
- MS Office skills and Warehouse Management computer-based systems.
