We bring the energy!

Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

Are you interested in shaping regulatory outcomes that impact Victoria’s energy future?

We have an opportunity for a Regulatory Analyst to provide high‑quality analytical and modelling support across AusNet’s regulated lines of business, strengthening regulatory submissions, pricing outcomes and decision‑making.

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Modelling, this role is based in Southbank and sits within our Transmission business.

What you’ll help deliver

  • Analytical and financial modelling support for major regulatory price reviews and submissions (including EDPR, TRR and AER processes).
  • Development and maintenance of regulatory and financial models to support expenditure forecasting and compliance.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of Annual Information Order (AIO) submissions, including data reconciliation and commentary.
  • Investigation, analysis and scenario modelling to support evidence based regulatory and strategic decisions.

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

  • Experience in regulatory, financial or analytical roles within energy or another regulated industry (e.g. utilities, telco).
  • Strong financial and data analysis capability, with advanced Excel skills and exposure to Power BI / Power Query advantageous.
  • A qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or similar, with CPA or CA (or working towards) preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

The AusNet experience is all about…

  • Growing your impact: Build deep regulatory expertise with exposure across all regulated lines of business.
  • Solving complex challenges: Apply analysis and modelling to real regulatory and commercial decisions.
  • Building an energy future to be proud of: Contribute to outcomes that support a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system.

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. We believe different perspectives are essential to our success, and we encourage all applicants to apply. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, we're happy to discuss how we can support you.

At AusNet, we bring the energy! Ready to make your impact? Apply now!
