We bring the energy – through purpose and people

Not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

As the Operations and Maintenance Delivery Lead, you will oversee the delivery of the Transmission Operations and Maintenance Agreement (TOMSA), ensuring a safe, reliable transmission network. You will also lead the resolution of escalated issues with our delivery partner.

The role is based in Southbank, Melbourne, with hybrid working arrangements available.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Monitor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) targets
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of operations and maintenance programs, ensuring safety, quality, performance, and budget targets are met
  • Lead resolution of escalated delivery issues across technical, scheduling, logistics, regulatory, safety, and environmental areas
  • Manage changes to the works program including rollout of new technical, safety and environment or regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance by engaging stakeholders and maintaining awareness of relevant legislation, standards, and AusNet policies
  • Conduct desktop audits and monitor execution to ensure adherence to processes and data standards
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPI reviews, expenditure tracking, and operational analysis
  • Prepare materials for monthly operational meetings with the service delivery partner
  • Support innovation and adaptability across the digital landscape to help grow our network and enable the energy transition

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in a technical or operations role, including developing and implementing maintenance strategies and plans
  • Experience with SAP ERP and data analytics and reporting tools and techniques
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Budgeting and cost control experience
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Candidates with a background in oil and gas or mining are encouraged to apply

The AusNet experience is all about…

  • Solving some of the most complex energy challenges of our time: We love unpacking clever ways and looking at things differently.
  • Building an energy future to be proud of: We’re a trusted leader, with deep expertise, driven to do what’s right for our customers and communities.
  • Being apart a team that cares deeply about each other: We share in the good times. We support in the tough times. And we’re humble through and through.

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. We believe different perspectives are essential to our success, and we encourage all applicants to apply. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, we're happy to discuss how we can support you.
