  • Lead an enterprise-wide portfolio that genuinely impacts employee wellbeing.
  • Shape psychosocial safety maturity across a leading energy infrastructure business.
  • Partner with senior leaders to drive meaningful cultural and organisational change.

We bring the energy!

Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

At AusNet, we're helping Victoria transition to a cleaner energy future while ensuring the wellbeing of the people who make it possible. This is an opportunity to lead and shape our enterprise approach to psychosocial safety, injury management and workplace health and wellbeing across a diverse and operationally complex workforce.

Reporting to the Head of HSE Enablement, you'll establish the strategic direction, governance and delivery of AusNet's psychosocial, health and injury management portfolio, influencing leaders across the business and driving initiatives that create safer, healthier and more resilient workplaces.

About the role

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll:

  • Lead AusNet's psychosocial risk management framework, programs and enterprise initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage psychosocial hazards, building capability across the business.
  • Drive injury management, workers compensation and return-to-work strategies that support positive recovery outcomes.
  • Lead occupational health and wellbeing programs, including fatigue management, health monitoring and preventative health initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on emerging risks, legislation, industry trends and organisational priorities.
  • Manage external providers including insurers, rehabilitation partners, occupational health providers and wellbeing services.

What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate has successfully designed, implemented and embedded enterprise-wide psychosocial safety programs and can demonstrate a deep understanding of psychosocial risk management, psychological safety and mentally healthy workplaces

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

  • Certified Return-to-Work Coordinator
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience developing strategy, governance frameworks and reporting.
  • A track record of influencing senior leaders and driving organisational change.
  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Health Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, Allied Health or a related discipline.

The AusNet experience is all about…

  • When life happens, knowing we’ve got your back: Whether it's life's big moments or the unexpected little ones, we get it - sometimes you just need to be there.
  • Building an energy future to be proud of: We’re a trusted leader, with deep expertise, driven to do what’s right for our communities and customers.
  • Being part of a team that cares deeply about each other: We share in the good times. We support in the tough times. And we’re humble through and through.

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. We believe different perspectives are essential to our success, and we encourage all applicants to apply. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, we're happy to discuss how we can support you

At AusNet, we bring the energy! Ready to make your impact? Apply now!
