  • Benalla-based role servicing Seymour, Mansfield, Wangaratta, Myrtleford and Wodonga
  • Variety of work spanning facilities management, contractor coordination, workplace safety and project delivery
  • Join a business playing a critical role in Australia's energy transition

We bring the energy!

Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

We're looking for a proactive Building Services Coordinator to oversee workplace facilities across AusNet's north-east Victorian sites. Based in Benalla, you'll support a portfolio of locations including Seymour, Mansfield, Wangaratta, Myrtleford and Wodonga, ensuring our workplaces remain safe, compliant, well-maintained and operational for our employees and contractors.

About the role

Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you’ll take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance activities across a portfolio of AusNet sites. You’ll work closely with employees, contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently, maintain compliance and deliver a positive workplace experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and tracking planned preventative maintenance programs
  • Managing workplace maintenance requests and ensuring they are completed within agreed service levels
  • Overseeing contractors and supporting workplace health and safety compliance
  • Coordinating services including mechanical, electrical, fire, lifts, hydraulics, cleaning, plant and equipment
  • Processing invoices and monitoring operational and capital budgets
  • Supporting building compliance, safety programs and annual site audits
  • Coordinating Emergency Wardens and First Aiders across allocated sites
  • Managing maintenance and capital projects from planning through to completion
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing responsive customer service

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

  • Experience in facilities or building services
  • High level of Customer Service
  • The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Sound Microsoft Office and intermediate computer skills
  • Experience with SAP and Rapid Global will be ideal but not essential.
  • Fleet management experience, although this is not essential
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence and the ability to travel between sites

You’ll be highly organised, accountable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy operational environment. You’ll bring a proactive approach to customer service, strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve workplace maintenance issues.

The AusNet experience is all about…

  • Solving some of the most complex energy challenges of our time: We love unpacking complex challenges in clever ways and looking at things differently.
  • When life happens, knowing we’ve got your back: Whether it's life's big moments or the unexpected little ones, we get it - sometimes you just need to be there.
  • Being part of a team that cares deeply about each other: We share in the good times. We support in the tough times. And we’re humble through and through.

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. We believe different perspectives are essential to our success, and we encourage all applicants to apply. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, we're happy to discuss how we can support you.
