We bring the energy!

Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

We all want a future of energy we can be proud of. With us you can.

As our Asset Information Lead, you’ll help make sure the information behind our Transmission network is accurate, reliable and trusted by the teams who use it every day.

You’ll help shape how asset information is captured, maintained and used throughout its lifecycle, bringing people, processes and data together to strengthen standards, improve data quality and ensure our asset information is fit for purpose.

This highly collaborative role will see you working across Engineering, Project Delivery, Operations & Maintenance, Digital and our service partners, giving you plenty of opportunity to build relationships and make an impact across the business.

Reporting to the Asset Lifecycle Integration Manager within Transmission Network Management, the role is based in Southbank, with hybrid working arrangements available.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Maintain asset information rules, controls and handover requirements across projects, construction and maintenance
  • Coordinate data changes, exceptions and handovers with engineering SMEs and key stakeholders
  • Monitor data quality, identify root causes and coordinate remediation of issues through to closure
  • Support governance decisions and escalate significant or recurring asset information risks
  • Drive continuous improvement across asset information processes, controls and ways working
  • Manage Prospecta Master Data Management, including workflows, user queries, training and guidance

You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Trade qualification, or relevant Asset Management qualification.
  • Experience in field works management, asset information management, data governance, maintenance, engineering or related roles.
  • Understanding of Transmission assets and their representation in technology systems.
  • Experience using asset management systems including SAP, GIS, Objective and Data Quality tools
  • Ability to influence cross-functional internal stakeholders and external service partners

The AusNet experience is all about…

  • Growing your impact: We’ll support you to build your career through real opportunities and strong connections.
  • Solving some of the most complex energy challenges of our time: We love unpacking complex challenges in clever ways and looking at things differently.
  • Building an energy future to be proud of: We’re a trusted leader, with deep expertise, driven to do what’s right for our communities and customers.

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. We believe different perspectives are essential to our success, and we encourage all applicants to apply. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, we're happy to discuss how we can support you.

At AusNet, we bring the energy! Ready to make your impact? Apply now!
