About the Role
This role will see you accountable for the leadership of a team of up to 12 Project professionals and delivery of a diversified portfolio of discrete capital works programs and projects, which includes Transmission Lines, Transmission Stations and Network Communications, managing portfolio and project budgets with specific focus on Safety, Environment, Sustainability and Governance.
This role will report to the Manager, Major Projects with a base location of Malvern, Victoria.

What you will deliver
- Effectively, direct & manage the allocated portfolio by ensuring that the individual projects and the portfolio are delivered safely, on time, within budget/s, to approved quality standards and in line with business governance requirements
- Lead, develop and foster performance improvements, by identifying inefficiencies and leading activities to rectify the root causes
- Establish a collaborative culture within the team and build strong stakeholder relationship with functions such as engineering, procurement, commercial and construction and commissioning to deliver the works program and to minimize the resource overheads to deliver the program of works
- Ensure performance enhances Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and focus on stakeholder and community engagement to identify business improvement opportunities that can help meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations
- Proactively work with delivery partners to ensure performance requirements achieved
What we like about you
- Experience &/or qualification in related field (construction, business, engineering, project management, portfolio delivery)
- Experience in Project Management and the leadership of successful teams is imperative. This experience shall have been gained in an operating environment where safety, commercial accountability and quality of delivery are leading indicators of success
- Ability to identify different delivery methodologies to promote efficient project/program management
- You are open minded as well as visionary with the ability to collaborate, builds relationships, inspire and motivate others as well as support the team to achieve targets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels
