We bring the energy!

Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

Go beyond keeping the lights on. Solve energy challenges that matter most.

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager – Transmission to lead the delivery of Transmission projects that strengthen and renew Victoria’s electricity network.

Reporting to the Group Leader, Transmission Delivery, this role is anchored in Malvern while offering genuine flexibility to work from home or other depots, with regular site engagement across Victoria.

What you’ll help deliver

  • End‑to‑end delivery of Transmission projects, which could include managing grid interface connections, replacing or strengthening assets and end‑of‑life works
  • Management of a portfolio of concurrent projects (typically 5–7, varying in size and complexity)
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement, including customers, developers, councils and regulators
  • Commercial and financial management including budgets, forecasts, variations and extensions of time
  • Hands‑on project controls including scheduling (MS Project), reporting and governance

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

  • Proven Project Management experience in infrastructure or construction environments
  • Experience in transmission, energy, renewables, rail, water or oil & gas (brownfields preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence complex stakeholder groups
  • A proactive, resilient and self‑starting approach to delivery
  • Comfort operating in a hands‑on PM role (this is not an IT or PMO‑only position)

The AusNet experience is all about…

  • Growing your impact: Build your career through real delivery opportunities on critical infrastructure
  • Solving complex energy challenges: Work on projects that enable Victoria’s renewable energy future
  • Building an energy future to be proud of: Make a tangible difference for communities and customers

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. We believe different perspectives are essential to our success, and we encourage all applicants to apply. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, we're happy to discuss how we can support you.

At AusNet, we bring the energy! Ready to make your impact? Apply now!
