Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.

We all want a future of energy we can be proud of. With us you can.

We have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Project Controller to drive financial and governance excellence across AusNet's Transmission Delivery projects. In this role, you'll work closely with Project Managers to develop financial plans, monitor expenditure and performance, and ensure compliance with project governance frameworks. You'll provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, oversee risk and cost controls, and enhance financial transparency across major infrastructure projects. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping Victoria's energy future while working with a collaborative and high-performing team.

With a 3/2 hybrid split, this role is based in Malvern and is part of the Transmission Delivery team.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Develop financial plans and forecasts for major projects
  • Monitor and manage project expenditure to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Provide financial governance and reporting for project portfolios.
  • Support risk management and compliance within Transmission Delivery.
  • Establish and maintain cost control, change control and procurement processes.
  • Ensure project stakeholders adhere to governance frameworks.
  • Deliver financial reporting, asset valuation, variance analysis, and stakeholder insights.

You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in a project delivery environment.
  • Experience in the Energy industry is advantageous
  • Strong financial planning, cost analysis, and project governance expertise.
  • Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder engagement and communication effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and financial reporting systems.
  • Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks.
