Who we are

Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1300 employees. We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

Our business is actively participating in the energy transition by delivering the natural gas needed today and advancing solutions for the future. Our Net Zero goal and emissions reduction targets outline our ongoing commitment to a sustainable energy future. We know that to deliver our net zero goal in a timely, affordable and reliable way for all customers, a diverse range of energy supply is needed. We will continue to work with customers and stakeholders to deliver and develop the energy infrastructure solutions essential to lowering emissions – including through natural gas, renewable gas and carbon capture and sequestration solutions.

About the opportunity

Are you a systems‑savvy maintenance leader ready to own how work gets managed across a critical transmission network? Join our Transmission Operations team as Superintendent Work Management Systems, reporting to the Head of Planning and Operational Performance.

In this pivotal role, you will lead our Maintenance Systems Process Enablement Team and be the key owner of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maximo. You will shape how work is initiated, planned, scheduled, executed and reported, ensuring our systems, data and processes enable safe, reliable and cost‑effective maintenance across our Transmission assets.

This is a high‑impact role for someone who wants to take end‑to‑end ownership of work management systems strategy, configuration and performance. You will work closely with Operations, Planning and Asset Management leaders to standardise work practices, uplift data quality and unlock significant benefits in reliability, safety, cost performance and user experience.

Internal position title: Work Management Systems Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Maintenance Systems Process Enablement Team, providing direction, coaching, and support across systems, data, and planning functions
  • Act as functional owner for Maximo and related systems, overseeing design, configuration, governance, and ongoing enhancements
  • Own and continuously improve end-to-end work management processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all sites
  • Establish and maintain master data, taxonomy, and reporting standards to deliver a trusted single source of truth for maintenance performance
  • Develop reporting and analytics to provide visibility of compliance, backlog, schedule adherence, cost, and downtime performance
  • Drive continuous improvement, user support, and capability uplift through enhanced systems, user experience, training, and adoption

About you

  • Proven experience leading work management and CMMS processes in asset-intensive environments, driving system performance and improvement
  • Strong functional knowledge of Maximo (or similar CMMS), including configuration, governance, and reporting
  • Solid understanding of maintenance and work management processes supporting safe, reliable operations
  • Skilled in master data management and reporting to enable a single source of truth for decision-making
  • Collaborative and analytical leader, able to influence stakeholders, drive change, and deliver practical system and process improvements
