Being in a business support role at Australia Post means helping our people deliver for every Australian. Just like our Posties, you’re still the people behind every parcel. Whatever your team or role, you’re helping grow our people, grow our business and making a lasting impact on the Australian community. You’ll find a culture of connection in our great people and the flexibility to balance work with life outside of it.
About the opportunity
As the Head of Integration, you’ll lead the establishment and delivery of Australia Post’s Delivery Partner transition function, playing a critical role in deploying the Delivery Partner Model across pilot and future rollout waves. Reporting to the General Manager Delivery Partners, you’ll lead a national team of Integration Managers and take end-to-end ownership of transition planning, mobilisation, readiness and delivery.
This is a highly connected leadership role where you’ll bring together teams across the business to ensure each transition is delivered safely, consistently and with minimal disruption to service. You’ll establish a repeatable rollout capability, strengthen deployment governance and use learnings from each transition to continuously improve how the model is delivered at scale.
You’ll also
- Lead national deployment planning for the Delivery Partner Model, including transition methodology, sequencing, readiness and mobilisation across pilot and rollout waves.
- Lead and develop a national team of Integration Managers, setting clear direction and expectations for successful partner transitions.
- Coordinate readiness across key business functions, resolving dependencies and barriers that could impact successful delivery.
- Own deployment governance, readiness reviews and executive reporting, providing clear recommendations around risk, resourcing and go/no-go decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing learnings and embedding them into rollout approaches, transition tools and future deployment waves.
About you
You’re an experienced senior leader who knows how to turn complex strategy into practical, executable plans. You’re comfortable leading large-scale transformation in operational environments and can bring multiple teams together around a common outcome while maintaining momentum, governance and service continuity.
You bring strong commercial and operational judgement, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders, challenge thinking and navigate complex risks and competing priorities. Importantly, you’re a collaborative people leader who can build capability within a team while creating the structure and ways of working needed to successfully deliver change at scale.
You’ll also
- Bring extensive experience across network design, supply chain optimisation or last-mile delivery strategy within a complex, high-volume environment.
- Have experience with third-party delivery partner or contractor models, including commercial considerations, capacity planning and network optimisation.
- Demonstrate strong executive stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align multiple functions around shared outcomes.
- Be confident translating complex data and operational insights into practical solutions that can be implemented effectively.
What else is in it for you?
- Bring your whole self to work every day and be met by a welcoming bunch of people who respect and support you
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
- Opportunities for growth and development through formal programs or mentorship
- Exclusive team member discounts and offers for more cash in your pocket, evolving policies for flexible working, leave types and access to health and wellbeing resources
All walks, one route
It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it’s important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.
We welcome people all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We’re a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We’re also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us.
