About the opportunity

This is not a traditional safety role.

We’re looking for a Senior Safety Business Partner who enjoys understanding how a business works, influencing senior leaders and solving complex operational, people and customer challenges. You’ll partner across our Parcels, Post & eCommerce Services (PPeCS) portfolio, spanning Customer Success, Sales, eCommerce Growth, Customer Transformation and International Product & Operations. It’s a genuinely diverse national portfolio. You’ll work across contact centres, corporate and support functions, customer-facing teams and operational environments, including the unique safety challenges within our International business.

You’ll also have opportunities to partner with Sales and Customer Success on customer solutions and tenders, support major transformation and influence how HSW is built into new ways of working. There’s genuine scope to make the role your own, using your judgement, influence and business acumen to identify where HSW can make the biggest difference.

What you’ll deliver

• Partner with senior leaders across a complex national portfolio.
• Use data, operational insight and professional judgement to identify emerging physical and psychosocial risks.
• Coach, challenge and influence leaders to strengthen HSW capability and decision-making.
• Translate enterprise HSW strategy into practical solutions that work for the business.
• Partner with customer-facing teams on tenders, customer requirements and safety challenges.
• Support transformation and change, embedding HSW into new ways of working.
• Lead and contribute to HSW governance, risk and wellbeing initiatives.
• Connect the business with specialist expertise across our broader HSW function.

About you

We’re looking for a strong business partner with broad HSW expertise, rather than someone defined by one technical specialisation.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience partnering with senior leaders in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong business and commercial acumen.
• The judgement and confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
• Broad experience across physical safety, psychosocial risk, wellbeing and operational risk.
• The ability to navigate ambiguity, transformation and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
