About the opportunity
This role sits within our Network Operations division, which includes our network operations for AP Northern & Southern, Startrack Road Express, Premium Operations, Air Freight, Fleet & Assets management, operations technology, automation and analytics and facility property.
Over the past couple of years Australia Post has made significant progress in the continuous improvement capability of the network operations team. In line with our Post26 strategy, we are creating new roles to sit within the Network Capability team dedicated to process excellence.
This team will be focused on standardising processes and identifying and executing major function & network wide continuous improvement projects.
What you’ll deliver with us
Australia Post is establishing a holistic approach to how it addresses process excellence enabling the acceleration of continuous improvement programs of work.
The establishment of a federated operating model will create enterprise consistency of methodologies, tools, processes, and overall capability – governed centrally and executed within each business area.
This role is accountable for the development and maintenance of a range of documentation to support newly established / optimised operational processes, and also play a key coaching role in developing technical writing expertise across the Network.
Working in a matrix structure, this role will partner with optimisation specialists and operational team members. This role will enable the strategic alignment between the Post26 Strategy, standards, processes and procedures by condensing and simplifying documentation.
Your new role will be:
- Embedment of technical writing standards, templates and methodologies for application across Network Operations.
- Ensure document control and knowledge management methodologies are implemented and maintained
- Document and maintain business process maps using Signavio
- Document and maintain operational procedures, standards and other related technical documentation. Ensure documentation supports the Network Operations Quality Management System, particularly enabling operations to achieve their Internal Control Check and ISO certification requirements.
- Coaching specialists in the Network in the development of process related materials.
About you
You will be committed to transformation and able to translate complex technical information in to clear concise and everyday language appropriate for application by team members across the organisation.
You’ll also need
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining quality working relationships with team members at all levels in the organisation in order to understand end to end processes
- An understanding of LEAN Six Sigma and business process mapping experience.
- A high level of organisational skills, time management capability and flexibility.
