We’re delivering like never before. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our unrestricted Medium Rigid Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted friendly StarTrack Townsville based business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!

This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday. Weekly pay at an hourly rate of $33.81/ph + 12% super and overtime rates apply.

You’ll be

  • Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility.
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
  • Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.

About you

You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.

You’ll also need to

  • Hold MR and forklift licenses (forklift licence is desirable not essential).
  • Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck.
  • Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
  • Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less.
  • Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a driving assessment, a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national criminal history checks.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Drive our iconic fleet and benefit from competitive delivery driver rates while operating in a safe and inclusive working environment.
  • We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment and safety.
  • Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic self to work every day.
  • Weekly pay, onsite parking, uniform included, PostPerks - discounted and cash back offers galore, inclusive team culture and regular events.
