Help us deliver like never before

Australia Post is delivering like never before. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity

The Workplace Rehabilitation Provider is responsible for assessing the rehabilitation needs of injured employees immediately following an injury and facilitating earliest possible return to work. You will develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation and return to work plans, liaise with medical/treating practitioners, service providers, workplace managers and claims officers.

  • This is a 12-months Fixed Term opportunity
  • Open to applications across NSW or VIC
  • An opportunity to own your own portfolio
  • We work flexibly with three office/site days and two work from home days per week
  • Valid driver's licence required

What you’ll deliver with us

  • Assess an injured employee’s capability to undertake a rehabilitation program, including conducting initial rehabilitation assessments and work site assessments
  • Design, develop and manage return to work programs tailored to an individual’s rehabilitation needs, including monitoring approved sub-contracted services considered necessary
  • Provide professional advice as required for occupational rehabilitation, injury management and prevention, including participation in case conferences and reviews of complex claims
  • Ensure compliance with the Australia Post Group and Comcare’s rehabilitation procedures and standards

About you

You are a values driven rehabilitation professional who genuinely cares about supporting people through recovery and return to work. You bring a collaborative and solutions focused mindset, with the ability to influence and negotiate across a diverse, national workforce.

You’ll Also Need

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Physiology, with eligibility for relevant professional association membership
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational rehabilitation and case management, with proven return to work outcomes
  • Experience conducting workplace and rehabilitation assessments, and developing tailored return to work plans
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association
  • Previous Comcare case management experience (highly regarded)

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Hybrid work model (between the office, travel to relevant work sites and being based at home)
  • Be part of a collaborative as well as autonomous work environment
  • Manage own portfolio of work

We’re delivering together

Our diverse and inclusive workplaces bring out the best in our people. We're all ages, genders and abilities, and we come from all walks of life. That’s how we deliver for Australia - together. We believe our business should reflect the diverse communities we operate in. See how we’re achieving that here.

We encourage applications from all backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, People with Disability and Ex Defence Force.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. To find out more about our progress with reconciliation, watch this short video.

Australia Post is committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free workplace and encourages the implementation of workplace adjustments for team members with disability at all stages of their career.
