Babcock New Zealand is looking for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our dedicated Air New Zealand team at Auckland Airport.

About the role

The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler is responsible for processing the asset management and maintenance planning and scheduling data within our computerised maintenance management systems.

Your key responsibility will be to ensure the maintenance planning and scheduling information that we produce and publish is accurate and compliant.

Role responsibilities including but not limited to

  • Provide advice, guidance and leadership for the maintenance planning and scheduling function of the Babcock Land business, to both internal Babcock teams and the client
  • Create accurate data entries within all of our computerised maintenance management systems
  • Liaise and communicate with all team members and the operations to ensure the information produced is explained and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Discuss any concerns with the relevant individuals and report any issues.
  • Forecast and load level all planned maintenance well in advance, and continually, in order to balance resource demand, operational demand and fleet availability

About you

You will have significant experience in a similar role, preferably within an engineering environment.

Key skills required

  • A high level of computer literacy especially in the use of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • A fundamental level of knowledge of asset maintenance requirements including mechanical & electrical equipment and systems
  • Ability to consistently deliver a high volume of accurate data
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the business
  • An ability to interact proactively with internal and external stakeholders, management and staff at all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
