About the role

Reporting into the Operations Team Leader, you will hold responsibility for the operational and administrative support to Babcock Aviation and Mission Critical Services employees. The Operations Officer will provide support and maximise efficiency of both people and operations resources through planning, communication and deliver contractual service delivery.

Duties of this role include:

  • Manage operational rosters ensuring compliance with applicable Enterprise Agreements, regulations and legislation
  • Manage domestic and international travel
  • Manage uniform requests
  • Assist with the induction and planning of new employees
  • Provide support and maximise efficiency of both people and operations resources through planning, communication and deliver contractual service delivery
  • Manage AOG support and emergency response plans
  • Alert the organisation to potential or known problems that affect the quality of organisation service delivery
  • Openly communicate ideas for improvement of company processes and procedures
  • Assist Base Managers with base facilities management
  • Assist with maintenance planning and Engineering resourcing
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Comply with Babcock’s Quality and Safety Management Systems Management Policy and Procedures
  • Provide on-call support as part of a rotating roster
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Team Leader or Head of Operations

About you

Having experience working in a large organisation, you are a confident operator with well-developed verbal and written communication skills, to be able to openly communicate ideas for improvement of processes and procedures. The role requires high attention to detail and accurate data entry, so you will be computer literate and will be well versed in using Microsoft Office suite is a must.

You will come with a good understanding and application of Enterprise Agreement and contractual terms and conditions, preferably in an Aviation related industry.
