About the Role
Babcock is actively seeking a Technical Liaison Officer (TLO) to assume a pivotal role in the ongoing management and delivery of the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) Ground Support Equipment (GSE) program. This program involves a strategic partnership between Babcock and the Australian Defence Force for the efficient management of the shared GSE fleet.
Located at RAAF Base Amberley, this position will be integrated into our customer's Combat Support Group (CSG) and will function as a crucial link connecting Babcock to our valued customer.
The TLO role is primarily customer-facing and will be responsible for engaging in daily strategic discussions with the customer. These discussions will guide and direct the broader Babcock ADF GSE team to ensure the ADF achieves optimal operational capability.
The responsibilities of this role encompass engaging in discussions with the customer, offering expert guidance on engineering, risk assessment, fleet management, and governance concerning GSE assets. Furthermore, the TLO will collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to determine the best course of action for managing GSE assets, always prioritising the needs of end-users and operational efficiency.
What will you bring?
- Formal qualifications in a Technical/Engineering or Logistics domain.
- Extensive experience in a technical or logistics role supporting Defence or heavy industry.
- High level technical background and understanding of tasks which contribute to effective maintenance.
- Understanding of the ADF Air or Land technical regulations.
- Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance.
