Senior Quality Assurance Specialist Job Location: This role is based in Williamtown, NSW. Role Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist within our Aircraft Sustainment and Training team in Newcastle, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible to perform a range of quality assurance activities, ensuring quality practices are being effectively deployed across the business area. Core Duties: * Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, providing expert guidance and independent oversight to ensure quality standards meet internal and external customer expectations * Educates and coaches project, program, and business personnel on quality management principles to promote accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement * Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and provide support with corrective and preventative actions and conduct quality investigations as required * Provide coaching, advice and support to stakeholders on quality assurance related matters and processes * Undertake quality process system activities including quality assurance reviews and validate data to ensure it meets program requirements * Champion the quality assurance activities, ensuring quality standards/outcomes are achieved and in line with quality standards, program and company requirements * Collaborate effectively and build good relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture * Lead, support and implement continuous improvement and quality engineering/assurance improvement activities About You * Demonstrated quality assurance experience and individuals with experience in maritime, engineering or in a relevant field, will also be highly regarded * An understanding of Quality, Safety, Environmental&Asset Management Standards (9001, 45001, 14001, 55001) and practices * Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to develop reports and documents * Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good relationships with a range of stakeholders * Formal quality qualification of diploma in Quality Management/Diploma in Auditing is preferred * Lead Auditor qualification or a relevant technical qualification is essential The Lead Hawk In Fighter Viewed as the role model for through-life support contracting, the Hawk Lead-In Fighter project was established by BAE Systems Australia to provide and support an outstanding, state-of-the-art fast jet training capability for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). The Hawk is the world's most successful advanced military jet trainer aircraft built on more than 35 years of fast jet training experience. More than 1,000 aircraft have operated across 18 countries, preparing more than 20,000 pilots for life in a fast-jet cockpit. The Hawk Mark 127 Lead-In Fighter is a tandem, two-seater jet aircraft.
