Your new role:
Reporting to the Lead Test Engineer – AMCAP, the Test Engineer will support in ensuring that test and trial activities are successfully delivered within cost and schedule constraints for Henderson Defence projects.
- Assist in the execution of all test and trials engineering activities
- Provide input to estimates and schedules relating to test and trials activities
- Support and engage stakeholders in gaining acceptance for installations or systems
- Provide input to reporting on test and trial progress
- Ensure test problem reports or problem identification reports are raised for all incomplete or failed test and trials activities
- Assist with the compilation of all test and trials results/reports and ensure they are submitted, registered and dispatched to appropriate authorities
- Compile objective quality evidence and verification documentation for test readiness reviews and system verification reviews
- Organise and mobilise test and trial equipment and materials
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Associate diploma or qualification in Electrictal or Mechanical engineering
- Demonstrated experience in installation, integration, set to work, acceptance testing and defect repair in the area of specific technical expertise
- Proactive individual, critical thinker and the ability to work well in a team environment
- The ability to undertake some travel, sea trials activities and out of hours work
- Mechanical or electrical engineering/technical experience will be highly regarded
- Naval ship systems experience will be highly regarded
