Your new role:
To assist the Electro Optic (EO) / Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) team(s) in ongoing EO and Modelling and Simulation (M&S) activities. This role is based in Adelaide at the Edinburgh Parks and DST Group Edinburgh sites.
In particular, this role will see you:

Contribute to the development of the JSTVU modelling & simulation environment through:
-
Understanding of the M&S requirements
-
Development of system models
-
Verification and Validation of System Models
-
Execution of virtual trials
-
Contribute to the generation of technical documents
-
Develop knowledge and understanding in the M&S as pertains to EW evaluation
About you:
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have;
- Strong understanding in software engineering principles and software development
- Understanding and solving problems particularly in the complex mathematical domain
- Strong understanding in electronic design, with the aptitude to model discrete components for use in a simulation.
- Actively engage and contribute to tasks within the HWIL and EO programs team
- Ability to work independently while maintaining focus and motivation
- High level of communication , interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to document and generate technical reports
- Experience in C and C++ programming
- Experience in MATLAB programming
- Experience in the use of SVN repository tools or similar
- Experience in design and optimisation of electro-mechanical tracking systems (desirable)
- Experience in optical modelling and design of EO systems (desirable)
