Your new role:
In this newly created role, as the Application Support Analyst within the IM&T Department, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the System Engineering suite of software we provide to our Engineering community.
This opportunity will see you:

• Provide support for the Systems Engineering suite of software. This includes responding to service requests, resolving incidents, and deploying software packages to workstations.
• Work with other team members in order to plan, develop, and execute system upgrades.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of team processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Assist in adapting and configuring commercial off the shelf software packages.
• Participate in the monitoring of system performance, SLAs and service continuity.
• Help our Systems Engineering community to make best use of the software suite we provide.

About you
As an ideal applicant for this role, you'll have:

• An inquisitive nature, with the need to understand why and how things work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to demonstrate research and analysis skills and problem solving.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Java, and Java Application Servers.
• Experience with scripting languages, Git, and automation toolsets such as Ansible.
• IT or Engineering related degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Australian Citizenship with eligibility to obtain and maintain defence security clearance to a minimum of NV2.
• Eligibility to be cleared for Export Control (EC) regulations.
