Your new role:
The Electrical Tradesperson (Facilities) is responsible for the maintenance of the shipyard facilities to satisfy the legislative and project requirements. The role is principally one of Maintenance, Temporary services support for Production, which includes installation, setting to work equipment, planned Maintenance, and defect rectification to ensure Quality and technical standards are maintained for equipment used by production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain equipment and provide services to production, with equipment repairs and providing Temp lighting, Power, extraction manual call points etc.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintain safe, environmentally responsible and non-discriminatory work practices in accordance with relevant company procedures and legislative requirements
- Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions
- Understand legislative and compliance standards for critical equipment
- Apply Electrical trade knowledge , techniques and skills to all aspects of the shipyardEnsure all work is executed in accordance with company processes, procedures and instructions
- Ensure that quality and technical standards are met or exceeded
- Ensure the timely achievement of specified goals and objectives
- Shift work as needed
About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you will have:
- An understanding of shipyard operations.
- Cert lll Trade based qualifications in Electrical/Electronic or Equivalent
- Appropriate Electrical licencing for the equipment used within the shipyard
- Demonstrated experience in shipyard maintenance.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Diagnostic/fault finding and problem solving skills

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
