Your new role:
You will be supporting the (HCFP) Hunter Class Frigate Program the largest Maritime in invest in research and technology, collaborate with academics, researchers and local businesses to develop, test and trial advanced manufacturing processes and techniques that will lead to productivity, quality and safety outcomes at Osborne.
As the Project Controls & Planning Manager you will report into the Head of Project Planning & Controls responsible for a portfolio within HCFP supporting the integration into the overall program monitoring and reporting in order to meet monthly performance reports internally and to the customer as required.
In more specific terms you will:

  • Act as a champion in Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule development and ongoing/management across the program
  • Establish and maintain fully integrated schedule and cost baselines
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide expert assistance to project teams in the use of cost and schedule tools, ideally in P6 and Cobra
  • Assist stakeholders with the development of appropriate product based Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated cost schedule analysis or project controls experience using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar
  • Complex program experience preferred, ideally in a defence environment
  • Experience using P6 and Cobra is preferred, however open to any cost or scheduling tools
  • An ability to see patterns, trends or missing pieces and communicate these to varied audiences
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills coupled with the ability to communicate and articulate information with senior stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
