Your new role:
In your new role as part of the Applications Team reporting to the Team Lead, the Applications Administrator is responsible for the day to day management and support of applications and licencing, across all JORN networks.
Key responsibilities will be:

  • Administering and supporting Linux (Red Hat) and Windows based business systems applications such as Windchill, DOORS, Atlassian suite(Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible), and Maximo
  • Applying vendor patches and updates to applications
  • Manage, track and report on licence usage and renewals
  • Performing effective configuration and change management control of all application environments
  • Participating in fault detection, performance monitoring, general systems management and timely resolution of systems issues
  • Performing peer reviews of team changes and related design artefacts
  • Complying with engineering processes and procedures imposed by the relevant management plans
  • Applying effective stakeholder management across other ICT teams, other parts of the project and our customer community
  • Working using Agile/Scrum methodology in accordance with required priorities and agreed schedules

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Ideally you will have experience in the administration of one or more key business applications such as Windchill, DOORS, Atlassian suite(Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible), or Maximo
  • Understanding of database technologies such as Oracle and MSSQL
  • Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems and environments
  • Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience in change management and configuration control
  • Knowledge of cyber security and Information Systems Security Policies and Procedures including the Defence Security Principles Framework
  • NV2 security clearance
