We currently have rewarding opportunity for Combat Systems Physical Integration Technical Officer within our Maritime Australia line of business. The role can be based either in Osborne South Australia or Melbourne, Victoria, hybrid working arrangement and 9 days a fortnight full time working arrangements are on offer.

Your new role:
Reporting to the Stage 1 Design Lead, you will assisting in design activities of the Combat System's compartments and Topside Layouts, to ensure compliance of the combat systems physical integration process with warship EMP whilst rectifying and assuring the availability the combat systems physical installation data and constraints for the platform IPT.
Working as a contributory engineering team member, you will seek out new experience and opportunities to learn within own engineering environment.
More specifically, you will
- Work with the Combat System Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders, and Physical Integration Engineers to evolve the physical integration design of Hunter CS equipment.
- Evaluation of the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system.
- Participate in Technical reviews of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design products and deliverables
- Develop and deliver Combat System Compartment/Topside layouts and Physical Integration Design Documentation
- Populate and coordinate completion of Zonal Review process checklists and plans
- Support the transition of design data through to stage 3 (production) design data and support to ship build problem resolution
- Develop system schematic drawings and support cable schedules
About you
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Advance diploma in electronic and/or electric engineering or equivalent experience including Certificate IV in electronics
- Experience in developing simple electronic/ electrical equipment designs, participation in design reviews, undertaking typical design analyses and implementation of hardware solutions, its integration, validation and qualification testing
- Strong problem investigation and solving ability with an understanding of engineering process, methods, tools and infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
