Your new role:
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for protecting Alliance information via various registrations, scanning, retrieval, distribution, filing and archiving activities required under the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) Alliance. You will be the key point of contact for information flows for the WAMA Alliance and external stakeholders regarding the Client and Alliance Participants.
More specifically, this role will see you:
- Revise control of documents within the document management system.
- Maintain the document management system including issue of user privileges, problem resolution and housekeeping
- Maintain registers and access control to Defence security classified and company and subcontractor supplied classified information
- Monitor group email boxes and distribute where relevant.
- Coordinate projects as required in relation to the Document Control function
- Provide help desk and training in the Alliance document management system
- Assist in the Objective (Document Management System) Coordinator duties as required by the Document Control Lead
- Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system.
About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- The ability to hold or obtain an active Defence Security Clearance
- Prior experience in electronic and manual Document Management.
- Prior experience implementing and maintaining document control procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular reference to Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage a program of work.
- Ability to be reliable and flexible with working hours to meet the team's needs.
- Must be able to work under pressure, problem solve and use initiative.
Whilst not essential, Qualifications in Records Management / Document Control would be highly beneficial.

Clearances:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
