About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Support Officer to join our Battlespace Integrated Solutions based in Jindalee Harts Range, NT reporting to the Site Lead.
As part of our Fly in/Fly out team, you will work in shifts of 15 days on (including travel days) and 13 days off. During your 15 days on you will have accommodation, meals and work related travel provided. Ideally you will fly from Adelaide or Darwin, but Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney could be considered for the right candidate.
Staff at the JORN Radar 3 are responsible for the ongoing support for operations, maintenance and development of the Radar sites for the Jindalee Over the Horizon Radar Network (JORN).
As the Production Support Officer, your previous experience in a safety role will ensure all activities are conducted maintaining a proactive and vigilant team safety culture aligned with the Life Saving Controls philosophy, fostering BAE values and behaviours.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guide and co-ordinate personnel associated with the issue of permits to work for high risk/critical control production activities conducted on site
- Regularly monitor and reporting of all high risk / critical control production site activities
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure the management of isolations (Electrical, Stored Energy etc.) is conducted effectively and in accordance with the agreed procedures
- Undertake the review of safe work method statements (SWMS) and other supporting Job safety and Risk Assessment documentation (JHA, JSEA etc.) for all site high risk construction work prior to the commencement of a planned Maintenance activity
- Review all supporting Job safety and Risk Assessment documentation (SWMS, JHA, JSEA etc.) prior to the commencement of all site non-high risk construction planned Maintenance activity
- Raise all site non-conformances to the Site Lead utilising the appropriate business tool(s)
- Provide attendance and support to site maintenance services planning / review meetings / conferences
- Be the point of contact for all site visits and be responsible for the coordination of site inductions, tours and supervision of visitors / contractors. This will include maintaining an inductions register and managing induction records
- Provide support as required to the site teams and Maintenance Planning team to ensure job / work closing evidence / packs are completed satisfactorily and supplied back to the relevant parties for upload and management in the applicable BAE Systems Maintenance Management System (MMS)
About YOU
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Experience in the conduct of operations activities, including the issue of permits to work and isolation of systems
- The ability to use standard computer applications, such as MS Excel, to a high level.
- Good Report writing and communication skills
- A high attention to detail required
