About the OPPORTUNITY
We have two great opportunities for Procurement Officers to join our Supply Chain function working within the Hunter Class Frigate Program. As a procurement officer you will collaborate across a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure on-time and quality material delivery and optimal supplier relationships.
There are over 150 procurement roles BAE Systems Supply Chain function and growing. Joining us as a procurement officer leads to many diverse career opportunities.
These roles will be based out of our Osborne Shipyard office in SA.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Depending on which procurement officer position best suits you, key responsibilities may include:

  • Leading sourcing activities;
  • Managing and expediting purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials;
  • Monitoring production demand and ordering materials, under framework agreements, to meet demand;
  • Managing catalogue parts and supply agreements within Procurement Systems;
  • Collaborating with supplier on material non-conformances and overall performance against KPIs;
  • Supporting major subcontract sourcing and negotiations;
  • Administering major subcontracts;
  • Maintaining supplier records and the accuracy of procurement systems;
  • Ensuring supplier on time payment;

About YOU
You'll have:

  • Working experience in Procurement
  • An ability to form strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
