About the OPPORTUNITY
JORN is a state-of-the-art defence system, it provides wide-area surveillance and plays a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force's air and maritime operations, border protection, disaster relief and rescue operations.
Due to an exciting period of growth we now have an opportunities for Project Controllers and Senior Project Controllers to join our Battlespace Integrated Solutions Business Unit on the JORN program. These roles will play a key part in the monitoring, progressing and carrying out of weekly maintenance within the EVM system, enabling us to meet our project targets and customer requirements within the Management Services domain.
These roles can be based in our Melbourne or Adelaide office, interstate candidates are encouraged to apply where relocation assistance will be considered.
Responsibilities include (however not limited to):
- Ensure that the EVM System is compliant to internal company governance
- Establish and maintain the Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS), CWBS Dictionary & CWBS Index
- Establish and maintain a fully integrated schedule, ensuring it is fully resources and provides a logically linked network of activities, which is capable of displaying a valid critical path.
- Establish and maintain the Cost Baseline, Project Authorisation & other project budget documentation
- Provide expert assistance in the use of cost & schedule tools (Open Plan and Cobra)
- Provide EVM project reporting and analysis data to the project team on a monthly basis
- Coordinate data input into the Project Performance Review Pack (PPRP)
- Provide schedule & performance measurement data analysis as required
- Contribute to the preparation of Schedule Risk Analysis
- Present and discuss EVM data knowledgably at Customer progress meetings when required
- Provide continuous mentoring/assistance to the CAM's in performance management, in particular for data analysis, variance analysis reporting and forecasting
- Perform project finance and contract related functions to include administration of invoicing, foreign exchange, economic price variation
- Contract change proposal documentation, contract amendments, deliverables/receipts, CFE/CFI
- Perform related functions such as configuration control when required
- Provide technical guidance and peer review within the Project Controls community
About YOU:
- Demonstrated cost schedule analysis or project controls experience using Earned Value Management or similar is desirable
- Complex program experience, ideally in a defence environment, is desirable
- Experience using Open Plan Professional (OPP) and Cobra is essential
- An ability to see patterns, trends or missing pieces and communicate these to varied audiences
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills coupled with the ability to communicate and articulate information with senior stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 defence security clearance
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
