About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Operations Manager to join our Maritime Sustainment to be based in Sydney, NSW.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Reporting to the Deputy Enterprise Program Manager, you will be accountable to coordinate and harmonise the design, establishment, operations and management of Destroyer Enterprise (DDGSPO) whilst proactively engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure the safe and successful delivery of the program.
Working across all aspects of problem solving within the project, you will gain exposure to all aspects of BAE Systems and ensure all products and services are delivered as part of a project to enhance provide customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:

Be responsible to manage DDGSPO operations and ensure that DDGSPO are compliant with the requirements of BAE Systems Australia's operational framework

Be responsible to develop and execute the DDGSPO strategy into action (SIA) outcomes and develop and implement fit for purpose processes and procedures to support and enable DDGSPO success

Ensure facilities are safe and effective to enable successful execution of remote distributed teams' outputs, and the execution of any new, funded and approved project work

Manage fit for purpose requirements relating to SHEQ, Risk Management, and Life Cycle Management (LCM)

Create and maintain a safe workplace through the establishment and adherence to functional policies and standards, and ensuring direct reports are accountable for safety

Provide specialist leadership within the Project team to execute the contract

Identify project opportunities and risks and develop mitigation strategies for pursuit throughout the project lifecycle, as directed by the Program Manager and monitor/report on the status of risks and opportunities
About YOU
- Degree qualification in Business, Project management, and People and Team leadership
- Demonstrated senior stakeholder management skills, experience and capabilities with an ability to provide business operations support service
- Ability to provide integrated support services to enable core and enabling functions to successfully operate
- Strong communication skills with experience of using these skills at a senior level within the organisation and externally
- Demonstrated growth mind-set and problem solving skills that provide cost effective, fit for purpose solutions to meet business requirements
