About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Officer to join our Function based in Sydney, reporting to the Lead Technical Services WA, NSW & ACT.
You will be responsible for the technical support of BAE employees at our Williamtown and Williamtown RAAF base sites. The right individual will be someone who can demonstrate initiative and work autonomously to provide support where needed.
As the Technical support officer, you will be providing technical support for a diverse computing fleet encompassing infrastructure, mobile devices, personal assets, and video conferencing technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and assist in resolving support requests while promptly directing unresolved issues to the appropriate channels.
- Handle support requests following established procedures and within Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines.
- Install and configure desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices within network environments.
- Manage customer expectations regarding incident and service request resolutions
- Develop and maintain process instructions and relevant documentation for ongoing support and reference.
About YOU
- Experience in a customer facing role.
- Demonstrate relevant experience in IT environment with experience in supporting the latest Microsoft operating systems and applications in a network environment.
- Ability to interpret user issue into IT terms and solve.
- Network and hardware experience.
- Experience using a ticketing system is desirable but not essential.
