About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our ASC Shipbuilding Business Unit based at Osborne, South Australia.
This role will see you responsible for the Maintenance support of the shipyard Facilities to satisfy the legislative and project requirements. The role is principally one of Maintenance support for Production equipment which includes supporting the Maintenance Trades in maintaining production equipment and services.

Key responsibilities (however not limited to) include:
- Support Maintenance Trades to Maintain equipment and provide services to production, with equipment repairs and servicing.
- Support Maintenance Trades to maintain safe, environmentally responsible and non-discriminatory work practices in accordance with relevant company procedures and legislative requirements
- Ability to operate mobile equipment with a High Risk Licence
- Understand legislative and compliance standards for equipment
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with company processes, procedures and instructions and that quality and technical standards are met or exceeded
About YOU
- Trade Assist Experience
- Demonstrated experience in operating Fork Lifts, EWP,s with High Risk Licence
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivation with a proactive approach to problem solving
- A high attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Experience within a defence or naval or ship building environments (desirable).
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant Defence Clearances
