About the OPPORTUNITY
Our Aircraft Worker positions are ideal for those looking to start their career in Aviation and rewarding career at BAE Systems! If you have completed a Certificate II in Aeroskills or have an interest in undergoing training, we woud like to speak with you. Upon successful completion of the Certificate II, you'll apply what you've learned in our Aircraft Maintenance environments alongside our skilled tradespeople.
As an Aircraft Worker, you'll perform tasks critical to ensuring military aircraft are ready for action including basic aircraft maintenance, performing flight servicing, and supporting operations on the tarmac or in the hanger as part of a dedicated technical team. If you want to play a key role in aviation and working of programs of national significance, this is your opportunity.
Key RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform aircraft launch and recovery operations.
- Conduct flight servicing (pre-flight, turnaround, post-flight)
- Refuel and defuel aircraft
- Adjust cockpit seat configurations
- Charge aircraft batteries
- Wash aircraft
- Assist with maintenance tasks in a trade assistant capacity
- Tow aircraft
- Support aircraft configuration changes
- Act as a wing/tail walker during aircraft movements
- Repair and restore structures and components
- Provide structural and component support
