Senior Manager

What you’ll do:
At Bain, Senior Managers oversee the formulation and implementation of strategic recommendations to improve the performance of Bain’s clients. Your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. Senior Managers assume responsibility for the case team’s value creation through the analytical process, build and maintain client relationships, and provide leadership, coaching and supervision to case team members.
You will be in the thick of the action as you work side-by-side with some of the best in the business. And you will help create change. Every day is different but a sample of the things you can expect to accomplish include:
- Identifying the value creation opportunities with the client situation.
- Providing intellectual leadership to the team to ensure the highest quality analytic and conceptual output.
- Building and maintaining consensus with the client on objectives, critical issues, workplan, implications, recommendations, and implementation plan. Developing client commitment to recommendations and implementation plans.
- Effectively manage the formal and informal professional development of the case team members. Promote each member’s development through skill planning, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Clearly allocate the responsibilities among caseteam members, balancing the fulfilment of caseteam goals with the professional growth and satisfaction of individuals.
- Contributing to key firm-building initiatives and activities (e.g. involvement in Practice/Capability Area knowledge building efforts, mentoring, recruiting, and training).
- Working collaboratively as member of a case team and with other colleagues.

What we look for:
We recruit talented and experienced Consulting professionals for our Senior Manager position, ideally with:
- At least ten years’ previous work experience with functional expertise in the form of consulting experience with a track record developed at a mid- to senior-level at another consulting firm.
- Strong analytic, logic and interpersonal skills
- High level of motivation
- Ability to exercise business judgement, to communicate persuasive conclusions and insights, and to build client relationships
- Ability to project poise, confidence and maturity in both internal and external situations
- Ability to effectively supervise/manage team members
- Ability to meet deadlines, often within very tight timeframes
- Ability to serve a full range of client assignments
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills are important
- MBA from a top business school preferred
