About the role
The Operations team at Barwon Water is a diverse and broadly skilled group, providing essential services to our rapidly growing region. As a Water Network Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced setting, leading optimal operation of our water network assets. This is a key role that will underpin our commitment for safe and secure water services across our region in line with our Strategy 2030.
You will be responsible for seeking innovative improvements and efficiencies to optimise the delivery of services across the network and you will utilise your excellent communication skills to bring influence to a wide range of stakeholders. The Water Network Engineer will support project delivery teams on design and construction of new assets and your investigative techniques and analysis into performance will underpin continuous improvement across all levels of service.
Working across the Operations team, you will support new policy documentation in line with best practice but with an eye to continuous improvement. Safety will be a key focus for the role and your knowledge of health and safety will be called upon.
About You
You will enjoy putting your technical skills and experience to the test in a complex, fast-changing environment as the work you do will enhance the overall operation of our network and delivery of services to our customers. Working with stakeholders across the business, you will thrive under pressure as your creative solutions bring efficiencies and improvements to our operations.
You have leadership capabilities, someone capable of influencing others through your engaging communication skills and technical knowledge. You will bring energy and creativity to your problem solving and a forensic eye for detail.
Your university qualifications in engineering will be tested daily but you thrive on a challenge and will be supported and developed by an inclusive and diverse team.
