About the role

The Cyber Security Adviser is a vital role in seeing the uplift of Barwon Water‘s cyber ecosystem. You will be responsible for implementing systems and packages, as set out by the Cyber Lead that will protect Barwon Water‘s network, infrastructure and customer information.

Your contributions will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of cyber security processes and procedures. As Barwon Water implements our Digital Roadmap and aligns with our strategy for 2030, your work will ensure that cyber security remains a top priority and is effectively integrated into our business operations.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders, tackling complex technological challenges faced by Barwon Water. Adhering to guidelines such as VPDSS or SOCI, the Cyber Security Advisor will establish and update policies and procedures to achieve best practices.

About you

You are an emerging cyber professional who is eager to make a mark in this career role. You will be motivated and engaged by new technologies with a constant eye for improvements. Your keen attention to detail will enable you to champion the uplift of cyber security throughout the organisation. Your qualifications in cyber security or IT infrastructure will be put to the test as you combine your theoretical knowledge into practicable solutions. You will be a strong communicator who is able to work under time pressure in a fast paced yet supportive environment.
