Are you looking for an exciting new project management role where you will make a lasting impact in the community? Do you want to put your skills to the test and drive our ground breaking Regional Renewable Organic Network (RRON) project through to completion? If you are looking to take your next career step, Barwon Asset Solutions wants to hear from you.

About the role

This exciting opportunity exists to join Barwon Asset Solutions (BAS) and deliver remarkable outcomes for our community and environment. Working alongside a highly motivated team on exciting and often career-defining projects, your passion for achieving positive social, environmental and economic benefits will be ever present.

This permanent role will project manage the RRON until it is commissioned and then move onto other projects within BAS. The RRON will be a world leading Circular Economy facility based at our Black Rock Water Reclamation Plant in Connewarre. The planned facility will take household food and garden waste, local commercial and industrial organic waste and organic materials from wastewater treatment, and safely convert this into products that capture carbon for high value use in agribusiness and sustainable manufacturing and construction materials, and at the same time produce renewable energy. In doing so, it will divert volumes of organic waste away from landfill, reduce emissions and help reverse the cycle of burning fossil fuels. In partnership with local councils and other community stakeholders, it will provide significant environmental, economic and community benefits across the region.

Further details on the RRON are available here.

A project manager at BAS manages the entire project and construction lifecycle, working closely with consultants, our own field-based teams, contractors, government agencies, community stakeholders and internal decision makers. Collaboration will be key in this role and you will seek subject matter experts to help bring the projects to life.

You’ll be customer focused with a commercial mindset teamed with good communication skills, and have the ability to innovate and evolve your thinking as issues arise.

You will be an expert stakeholder manager, coupled with interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with an ability to influence and engage others. You blend this expertise with an innovative approach to problem solving.

Your collaborative and inclusive leadership style and strategic planning skills will enable you team to perform at a high level and see the RRON and other projects delivered on time. You can apply your sound knowledge of project management to our varied infrastructure program. Your qualifications in Engineering will be put to test in this rewarding and impacful role.
