As a Treatment Operator, you’ll be part of a broader, connected team where knowledge is shared across sites and success is measured collectively.
The Treatment team at Barwon Water is a diverse and highly skilled group of Specialist Operators who work collaboratively to deliver safe, secure and affordable water services to a rapidly growing region.
The role provides exposure to some of Barwon Water’s most complex treatment systems and offers meaningful opportunities for technical development, professional growth and the demonstration of leadership behaviours, regardless of title.
You’ll play a key role in the operation, optimisation and reliability of critical assets such as the Colac Water Reclamation Plant. In addition to day-to-day plant operations, and critical maintenance activities, and you’re to contribute to innovative, continuous improvement initiatives that enhance outcomes
About you
You bring strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes and implement practical, effective solutions in a dynamic operational environment.
You’re committed to achieving results as a group and actively contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture. You understand the value of collaboration across locations and take pride in adding to the capability and success of the broader Operations team across Barwon Water, focussing on team outcomes and collective goals.
You communicate clearly and purposefully, using your interpersonal skills to influence outcomes, support colleagues and demonstrate leadership through your actions and approach to problem-solving.
You’re safety-focused, motivated and able to work systematically while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. You combine your technical capability with a mindset of continuous learning and adaptability responsibility while recognising the importance of shared accountability.
Whether your qualifications are in engineering or technical trade, together with your industry experience, you will be supported on a career that you offers development and growth.
Successful applicants will be required to perform a pre-employment medical assessment and participate in an on-call roster and availability to respond to out-of-hours operational events when required.
