Image being part of Operations where your skills are unique and innovative, where you will create real change through process optimisation. If commissioning, process engineering and problem solving are key strengths, read on…
This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in taking a complex wastewater and waste-to-energy facility from transition into full operational maturity, applying deep technical expertise to optimise performance, reliability and safety from day one.
You’ll be at the forefront of biological treatment, digestion and biogas-to-energy systems, using data, modelling and operational insight to influence how the plant runs, performs and evolves over time.
You’ll directly shape compliance outcomes, energy efficiency and resource recovery while setting a new benchmark for operational excellence.
As the technical expert, you’ll lead optimisation programs, resolve complex process constraints and drive innovation through trials, pilots and continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll influence outcomes, through credibility, evidence-based decision making, with the ability to translate complex process data into clear operational actions. From biogas production to SCADA-driven performance analysis, your expertise will be central to unlocking the full capability of the plant.
Just as critical is your role in maturing safety, risk and operating practices as the plant moves into steady-state operations; you will be the key driver of commissioning projects.
Embedding consistent, standardised procedures, strengthen gas and process safety frameworks, you’ll ensure lessons learned are translated into safer, more resilient operations.
About you
As the technical expert, you’ll lead optimisation programs, resolve complex process constraints and drive innovation through trials, pilots and continuous improvement initiatives.
You bring a systems-thinking mindset, combining engineering fundamentals, operational experience and data analysis to solve complex problems and optimise performance. You’re comfortable making independent decisions, balancing risk, safety and performance in live operational environments.
Known for your ability to influence others through clarity, insight and practical solutions, whether coaching operators, guiding maintenance teams or working alongside consultants and contractors. You enjoy translating complex technical concepts into usable operating practices, building capability and confidence across teams.
Drawing upon your qualifications in chemical or process engineering, you’ll see your burgeoning career continue to evolve and be supported in process optimisation or operations settings. Your passion will create opportunity to enhance sustainability, reduce emissions and lead to circular economy outcomes.
Motivated by work that has visible, lasting impact, you’re energised by commissioning, optimisation and the challenge of turning an evolving facility into a safe, reliable and high-performing operation.
