Formula for Success
Join BASF in a Full-time permanent opportunity as Industry Manager. In this role you’ll manage and grow BASF’s Additives business unit for the Paints and Coatings, Printing and Packaging, Adhesives, Construction and Composites industries in Australia & New Zealand. You’ll also support the BASF Dispersions & Resins business in achieving it’s strategic objectives by achieving increased recognition, customer satisfaction and developing an understanding of industry stakeholders and value chain.
You’ll:
- Take responsibility for financial performance to achieve targets regarding net sales, contribution margin & fixed costs
- Manage accounts through relationship development, forecasting, technical support, credit management & commercial negotiation
- Support other sales personnel with technical & product information for the Strategic Business Units
- Contribute to the development of the business strategy & product/project proposals.
- Plan & guide Technical Service Chemist project activities, development plan and priority
Ingredients for Success
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, and the ability to translate technical information into business needs.
You’ll:
- Hold a tertiary qualification relevant to the field (technical or business management)
- Prior experience working in a laboratory or equivalent technical environment (desirable)
- Demonstrated sales and business management experience
