Formula for Success

In this key role as Manager, Import Export & Customs Operation, you’llplay a crucial part in Provide strategic leadership and governance for Import Export Customs and Foreign Trade operations for assigned country(s). Your focus will be on driving efficient Import, Export, and Customs operations of the country(s) by improving processes, standardizing workflows, steering operational discipline to ensure regulatory compliance and meeting global, regional targets and standards.

You’ll collaborate closely with logistics partners and internal teams, acting as a key advisor for optimizing supply chain performance and a strategic partner for implementing major projects.

You’ll:

  • Lead the country/hub Import Export & Customs Operations team, ensuring process adherence, operational excellence, and continuous learning and development.

  • Leading service provider management (LLP/LSP+/ LSP), oversee daily operations, track vendor performance against KPIs, manage escalations, drive continuous improvement with country teams, and lead improvement efforts to strengthen overall Supply Chain operations.

  • Responsible for risk management pertaining to team and service provider operations, including but not limited to access management, data protection, business continuity process and periodic risk management reviews.

  • Collaboration with logistics procurement, logistics service providers, import/export community, customs & foreign trade community, service recipients (business units), and relevant stakeholders on, and not limited to escalation management, non-conformance handling, and opportunities for continuous improvement including automation and digitalization initiatives.

  • Support business units by enhancing service efficiency and implementing improvement initiatives to boost service quality and process effectiveness.

Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strongknowledge country’s customs & trade related regulations, FTZ/bonded processes, FTA application, and exemption management, effectively manage logistics partnerships and optimize service delivery through strong performance monitoring and continuous improvement and expertise in SAP and import/export processes, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills, will be crucial for leading key projects and driving successful outcomes.

You’ll:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or equivalent.

  • Have minimum 5 years in Supply Chain Management, Customs & Foreign Trade, Logistics, Freight/carrier management in Multinational Company with international exposure.

  • Be proficient in SAP/ERP experience preferred; Business Intelligence/reporting tools capability is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Skilled in nonconformance management and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, fast paced, and high pressure environment.
