The Role
We're seeking an experienced Trade Services Supervisor to lead a team of skilled tradespeople within a major aviation environment. In this role, you'll oversee service delivery, maintenance operations, quoting, minor works, and trade team performance while ensuring critical airport infrastructure remains safe, compliant, and operational.
You will play a key role in managing day-to-day maintenance activities, client relationships, subcontractor coordination, and team development. Working closely with the Account Manager, Facilities Managers, and operational stakeholders, you'll ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements and client expectations. Based on the position description in Position Description - Trade Services Supervisor - SYD, the role includes team leadership, mentoring apprentices, managing performance, overseeing quoting and tendering activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead, coach, and support a team of trade personnel to ensure high-quality service delivery

Oversee maintenance activities, minor works, installations, and reactive maintenance across critical infrastructure assets

Manage quoting, tendering, and service delivery activities to ensure contract KPIs are achieved

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants

Monitor team performance, approve timesheets, conduct toolbox talks, and support workforce planning

Mentor and develop apprentices and trade team members

Prepare monthly reports and participate in client meetings and operational reviews

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety requirements, and company procedures

Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting and issue resolution

Coordinate emergency response activities and support operational continuity

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced service delivery

Promote a positive safety culture and strong team environment
Your Education, Experience & Skills
-
Trade qualification or licence in a construction or building services trade
-
Current Driver's Licence
-
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a trade, maintenance, facilities management, or technical services environment

Strong experience managing service delivery, maintenance operations, and client relationships

Demonstrated experience overseeing quoting, tendering, and minor works delivery

Excellent people leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills

Strong customer service and stakeholder management capabilities

High-level written and verbal communication skills

Strong administrative and reporting skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced operational environment

Experience supervising construction or maintenance trades highly regarded

Previous experience working within aviation environments highly regarded

Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) pass

Full working rights in Australia essential
