About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of technical projects including data centre fit outs, mechanical services upgrades, and capital works. Based in Brisbane, this permanent, onsite role involves managing a team and ensuring quality, safety, and financial performance across projects within a 100km radius.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery – from scoping and tendering to commissioning and handover
- Manage a skilled project team – coach and develop team members to deliver consistent outcomes
- Coordinate contractors and consultants – ensuring compliance with OH&S, QA, and legal standards
- Drive financial performance – forecast, track budgets, and manage P&L for your projects
- Maintain client relationships – lead meetings, manage expectations, and exceed KPIs
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience delivering complex projects (data centres, HVAC/mechanical services, refurbishments or new builds)
- Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
- Expertise in QA, OH&S, risk, and environmental compliance
- High-level financial acumen – cost control, cash flow, forecasting
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- A flexible, proactive mindset and commitment to high standards
Qualifications & Desired Experience
Essential:
- Graduate Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or similar
- Current Construction White Card
- Cert IV in OHS or equivalent field experience
- Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel
Desirable:
- Trade background (e.g., Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry, etc.)
- NABERS or Green Star accreditation
- Membership with AIPM, IEAust, AIQS, or similar professional bodies
