Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Contract Performance Director to support a newly awarded, high-profile Victorian government facilities management contract. This role is central to ensuring the contract operates with clarity, consistency and confidence through strong governance, performance oversight and assurance.
Reporting to senior contract leadership, you will work closely with BGIS operational teams and client stakeholders to oversee governance frameworks, performance reporting, risk and compliance activities. Your work will support trusted decision-making, audit readiness and continuous improvement across a large, diverse property portfolio.
The ideal candidate is thoughtful, highly organised and collaborative, with a strong appreciation for governance, data integrity and constructive stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full contract governance framework, including monthly, quarterly and annual governance cycles
- Prepare and present executive-level performance reports, dashboards and strategic updates
- Maintain and govern performance management frameworks, controls and methodologies
- Ensure all contractual KPIs, MSLs, compliance obligations and reporting requirements are met
- Review service delivery performance, trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate structured improvement plans to address risks or underperformance
- Oversee risk management frameworks, registers and treatment plans
- Ensure audit readiness and coordinate internal and external audit activities
- Support transparent, accurate and timely reporting through BGIS Connect, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Partner with reporting and technology teams to uplift digital maturity and data governance
- Foster strong, respectful and effective engagement with senior client and BGIS stakeholders
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Extensive experience in contract governance, performance management, assurance or quality roles
- Strong understanding of contract compliance, audit, risk and performance frameworks
- Experience supporting large, complex or multi-site service delivery environments
- High proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and data-driven reporting
- Experience using Power Automate to improve workflows and reporting efficiency
- Clear, confident and inclusive communication skills, including executive reporting
Desirable:
- Experience working within government or regulated environments
- Background in facilities management, infrastructure or large outsourced contracts
- Qualifications in business, governance, risk, quality or related disciplines
Workplace Flexibility
This role is based in the Melbourne CBD, close to public transport, with a hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days WFH). Core business hours apply, with flexibility around start and finish times. Occasional site visits within the CBD and additional hours may be required as operational needs arise.
