As a senior member of the team, you will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Planning functions to develop and execute reliability strategies that maximise equipment effectiveness and reduce operational risk. You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating chronic losses, improving maintenance strategies, managing asset health, and ensuring the long-term integrity of critical electrical infrastructure.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders, and a passion for continuous improvement. - Review and optimise preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies for critical electrical assets.
- Evaluate asset performance, failure trends and condition monitoring data to identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct equipment criticality assessments and implement risk mitigation plans for high-consequence assets.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance and Planning teams to improve asset performance and reliability outcomes.
- Contribute to capital projects, shutdown planning and major maintenance activities by providing reliability engineering input and asset expertise.
- Support compliance with statutory obligations, engineering standards and BHP technical requirements.
- Mentor engineers, specialists and frontline teams in reliability methodologies and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement through the application of reliability engineering principles, data analytics and industry-leading asset management practices.
