Work Location

This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role is Monday to Friday.

If the incumbent chooses to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Jansen site (<90km). BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a relocation allowance.

Additionally, the successful applicant can reside in the company’s onsite camp, Jansen Discovery Lodge, on a drive in/out basis.

The Challenge Ahead

Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, the Administrator - Operations will act as trusted support partner and perform administrative activities including the development and delivery of work plans, execution of administrative functions/communications, essential data management practices and the fostering of a positive team culture to drive efficiency across operational routines.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Support the development and delivery of work plans, manages the execution of administrative functions and communications, designs/carries out essential data management practices and fosters a positive team culture to drive efficiency across administrative processes and operational routines.
  • Develop and communicate insights that guide data driven action and decision making.
  • Support the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximise operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk.
  • Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Source information, plan and conduct analyses to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Apply and evaluate change management tools, methods, data, purpose, value and strategic direction.
  • Apply an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

To be considered, you will need:

  • A certificate or diploma from a business college, or equivalent knowledge through practical experience.
  • Previous experience liaising with senior operational leaders in dynamic work environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
