About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Health and Safety Team at Yandi in a Permanent role as a Health Specialist, on a 5/2:4/3 roster with site travel required to provide care and support to our WAIO Operations in the Pilbara.
The Health Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise in injury prevention and injury management activities. Through collaborating with the customer and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to create a culture that prioritises key health activities, the Health Specialist works to reduce occupational-related health risks, and to deliver health promotion that encourages a mentally healthy workforce.
In this role you will be required to:
- Support Yandi Operations personnel who become injured or ill at work through effective return-to-work strategies, while maintaining data privacy in leadership updates.
- Provide technical expertise in injury prevention and injury management.
- Maintain health reporting and ensure data integrity and governance.
- Develop working knowledge of legislative health reporting and applicable injury/illness classifications, using company standards and OSHA/WHS guidelines.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with medical and allied health providers.
- Develop and implement proactive health and safety initiatives to support injury and illness prevention
