About the Role
The position of Electrical Engineering Technician reports directly to the Supervisor Electrical Maintenance, this role is responsible for executing maintenance activities on both planned and unplanned scenarios.
This is a key role in our business ensuring we have safe and effective maintenance.
Some of the duties include:
accountability for performance by ensuring quality of tasks, services and advice to the operation and asset functions
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Engineering qualification at Trade, Diploma or equivalent industry and/or organisational experience (Electrical Trade)
- Sound understanding of Reg 55
- A current C Class Australian driver's license
- Previous exposure to the mining and minerals processing industries in a similar role is preferable
- A proven track record of safety management
- Working knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement
- High skill level in 1SAP Work Management processes, Microsoft Suite
Location
In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia on a sportsman roster. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia. The 15,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities.
The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife. Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
