About the role
We are currently have an exciting opportunity based in Port Hedland for a Supervisor within the Port Hedland Asset Integrity Management (AIMS) team being offered on a residential lifestyle roster. The core role is to supervise the safe execution of Structural Cleaning & Inspection works across both Nelson Point & Finucane Island. The successful applicant will be highly motivated & enjoy working in an inclusive team environment within the Asset Integrity Management (AIMS) Team.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Identifying opportunities and providing input in the continuous improvement of the AIMS process.
- Drive an inclusive and diverse culture
- Build relationships across functions to achieve positive working environment for task execution
- Supervision of cleaning team and contractor Engineering Inspectors on Fixed Plant, Buildings, & Tanks at Nelson Point & Finucane Island
- Prompt completion of supporting and reporting documentation and 1SAP administration
- Weekly Review of Work Management Metrics
- Identify, report and rectify hazards
- Manage and coach work groups on quality, task-based risk assessments
- Strong commitment to the field leadership program and coach field leadership activities
- Delivering high quality customer service and results across Port
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:
- Strong safety leadership skills and history of field leadership participation
- Ability to develop scopes for execution of works and effectively communicate this to others
- Have a basic understanding of BOS practices
- Hold a current unrestricted West Australian ‘C’ class Drivers License
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Project, Excel & 1SAP
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional risk management skills
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
- Analytical problem solver who enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement and proactively solving them
- Sound time management skills
Licenses and Appointments (once in role)
- Ability to apply and hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Statutory Supervisor appointment
